James Phelps, gospel singer, apparently from complications of diabetes, 78.
Bill Shannon, baseball writer ("The Ballparks"), in a house fire, 69.

Lisa Blount, actress ("An Officer and a Gentleman"), apparently of natural causes, 53. She was found dead on the 27th, but may have died as early as the 25th.
Denise Brono-Quinn, actress (Ginny Sacrimoni on "The Sopranos"), of liver cancer, 46.
Nestor Kirchner, former Argentine president, of a heart attack, 60. He was also the husband of the current president.
